OVERVIEW
Research commissioned by the Federal government revealed that 1 in every 4 students in Australian schools are affected by bullying. Many young people are struggling to cope. For some, it’s become too much that life is not worth living. It doesn’t have to be this way.
In this engaging, interactive, and impactful session, Daniel will unpack the MONKEYS that create bullies (feeding unkind behaviour), victims (leaving them feeling powerless) and bystanders (resulting in inaction). This is to introduce educators to the common language and terminology to ensure consistency and embedment. Through case study application and reflective discussions, Daniel will also equip educators with practical tools to coach and influence students and foster positive behaviors to address some of the biggest whole school challenges connected to bullying.
BEAT Bullying for educators is ideal for either a:
• In school PD training workshop for staff – either stand alone or as part of a comprehensive whole school program which includes students and parents
• Conference workshop featuring wellbeing leaders across multiple schools
