​In the midst of Covid-19 disruption, remote working, life pressures and navigating through unprecedented change, complexity and uncertainty, research shows that psychological distress has increased significantly across both organisational staff and leadership across all age groups. 


Stress, confusion and anger are commonplace as a result of the pandemic (Brooks et al 2020). According to the World Health Organisation, COVID-19 has the potential to contribute to or exacerbate long-term mental illness including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance misuse. It doesn’t have to be this way.

In light of the uncertainty ahead, it’s more important now than ever for individuals and teams to be empowered and equipped to become the leader of their life, rewire for resilience, and create a thriving wellbeing.

In this engaging, interactive and impactful session, audiences discover:
  • The 5 STUMBLING BLOCKS inhibiting personal, team and organisational success and optimal wellbeing.
  • The SKILLS, MINDSETS and MUSCLE needed to successfully navigate and thrive amid change and uncertainty.
  • HEALTHY HABITS that enable peak productivity, enhance employee engagement and positively manage mental health. 

Audiences will leave empowered and with the strategies, insights and inspiration to take immediate action and build tenacity, optimism and empowerment within themselves and those around them in their professional and personal lives.

Thriving Wellbeing is an ideal EMPOWER HOUR for wellbeing days, lunchtime staff training, and conferences, and can be expanded into a DYNAMIC DAY OF EMPOWERMENT program or a wellbeing empower hour SUPER SERIES (see below). 

Prior to delivery, Daniel will work with you to understand the audience, your goals and objectives to ensure content is customised, relevant and transformational to meet the needs of your audience and achieve your objectives. The above content areas can be mixed and matched to create the ideal program for your audience within the time available.
SUPER SERIES overview
Over a series of either fortnightly or monthly virtual empower hour sessions via Zoom, Daniel will share practical and easy to apply wellbeing strategies for staff to apply in their professional and personal life to positively manage their mental health and build tenacity, optimism, and empowerment.
 
Sessions are structured in a way that’s not just content delivery, but also, interactive, allowing for open discussions and the sharing of insights. Rather than just being a “presentation”, these virtual sessions are more of a big check-in, facilitation hour to give staff the opportunity to connect, exchange experiences and ideas as well as learn new wellbeing skills.
 
Daniel understands the corporate and business world well, and draws upon 15 years of experience working in senior leadership roles with leading companies such as KPMG and BDO.

Whether it’s an empower hour, half day or full day experience, the virtual experience with Daniel, a certified virtual trainer, is just as engaging, empowering and equipping as in person delivery with the use of a variety of different ways to make it just as fun, interactive and impactful as in person. For example, the use of breakout rooms, polling, reactions, chat functions, challenges and more to keep audiences engaged and active, plus using a bunch of apps to enhance the online experience such as Jamboard for brainstorming, music, exercises and activities throughout.

About Daniel

Daniel Merza is an award-winning international speaker, certified virtual trainer, author and coach, specialising in wellbeing and leadership.

Having worn the “underdog” cap growing up, Daniel’s story can be summed up in three words – “Defying the odds”.
 
Bullied for a decade, diagnosed with a mental illness at 13, and labelled as a student with “no hope”, Daniel will reveal how he faced up to his tormentors at 16 and turned his life around.
 
A Chartered Accountant (CA) at 23, Daniel enjoyed an illustrious corporate career spanning 15 years, with leading companies like KPMG and BDO in senior management roles before embarking upon his mission to inspire tenacity, optimism and empowerment in schools and organisations. 
 
Daniel has developed clever and fun ways to engage, empower and equip thousands of people worldwide – from students, parents, educators to corporate professionals and business entrepreneurs - to get the monkeys off their back and become the leader of their life. He has been featured on radio and media outlets, and his work has also been acknowledged in NSW Parliament. Daniel is the president of Professional Speakers Australia (NSW Chapter) for the 2022 year.
