​​3. TAKE MASSIVE TEAM ACTION

On completion of program delivery, the leadership team will be given two weeks to get together again to discuss and finalise their documented Game Plan, amalgamated into the one file. The electronic master file on google jam-board and sheets is optional to use. Other cloud based platforms can be used. The most important thing to ensure is that the information is centralised on the cloud, with easy access to all leaders.  

WHOLE SCHOOL LEVEL


**For Student Executive - School Captain(s) and Vice Captains (s)**

The Game Plan (whole-school level) is to include the following 5 ingredients:
  1. Team Dream - The We Have A Team-Dream (WHAT-D statement) consisting of a 1-2 paragraph summarising the top 3 or 4 issues to be addressed (as determined during the workshop), a description of the imagined future just like Martin Luther King's speech exemplifies, and a short inspirational tagline to be used to communicate and inspire others in the school community.
  2. Ideas - all ideas generated to address each issue are to be included in the Game Plan document for filing and future reference. 
  3. Action Plan - Each issue selected to be addressed is to have an action plan for at least one idea out of the many generated. The action plan comprises of specific goals and milestones, allocation of roles (roles guide to be completed) and steps to success.
  4. Team Roles Guide - Each leader is to complete this tab in the google sheets file. With this information, a greater understanding of team strengths emerges of which will assist with the allocation of roles connected to the execution of goals set in the action plan.
  5. Accountability plan - Depending on leadership structure, a schedule of team meetings, as well as progress update meetings with the executive (i.e. Dean of Students) and Zoom catch-ups with myself. 

HOUSE OR COHORT LEVEL

**For House Captains & Vice Captains** 

The same 5 ingredients mentioned above that the student executive team will use to finalise the Game Plan for whole school initiatives are also to be used by individual House leaders for the creation and finalisation of the Game Plan for their individual House based initiatives. Whilst there may be some partial overlap between what is done at a whole school level (which may also apply at a house level), each house will have their own areas of focus to based their initiatives and way forward around.

​Make things happen by taking massive collective action. Steven Covey once said: To know and not to do is not yet to know. When no action is taken, this program has little benefit.


4. TAKE MASSIVE PERSONAL ACTION

For you personally after program delivery:
  • Ensure you have completed all exercises. Block out the time and make it a priority.
  • Open up discussions with a trusted adult to gain further perspective and guidance.
  • Follow through on your action plan and stay connected and accountable. This is what matters the most. Action produces motivation because it leads to progress and results.
